How do I sign up to help at Bush?
During the first weeks of school be sure to fill out the PTA's volunteer form. You can sign up to be a social or academic room parent, help out in Art or TechLab, the lunchroom, with Science Labs, doing projects at home or donating goods for particular events. Each teacher also will ask for volunteers for help in the classroom?for example, with reading groups or math activities. Parent information night is a great time to talk to your teachers about volunteering in the classroom.Back to top

How can I get a Bush Directory?
If you participate in Non-Event, you will receive a free directory. You may buy one separately for $5 on our web site. The directory is published in late-October/early-November.Back to top

Where do I turn in my BoxTops?
Send BoxTops in your student's class folder on BoxTops Friday or label your BoxTops with your student's name and classroom section number and drop them off in the Tupperware BoxTops bin outside Bush Elementary's front office doors.Back to top

What is Fall Fun With Friends?
Each grade level has a teacher-organized after-school event to raise funds for classroom supplies. Siblings and friends from other grade-levels are typically invited. Kindergarten's Polar Express is during the holiday season. The First Grade Sock Hop is coming in October, along with 2nd Grade's Fall Fun.Back to top

When can I eat lunch with my child?
Kindergarten-11 a.m. (Monday); First Grade-11:40 a.m. (Tuesday); Second Grade-11:55 a.m. (Wednesday); Third Grade-12:15 p.m. (Thursday); Fourth Grade-11:20 a.m. (Friday). Reminder: Check in at the front office and if at all possible visit on the assigned day for your child's grade. Back to top

Bush Elementary is holding its Book Character Parade on Oct. 21. Come early and get a good seat! It begins just after morning announcements. Children dress up as the character from a favorite book. (Children do not dress up for Oct. 31.)Back to top
