Welcome to the official Barbara Bush Elementary PTA website.

There’s something special about the Bush family, and we invite you to experience it first-hand by joining the PTA and participating in the programs and activities that support our students, faculty and staff. Please bookmark this site and visit often as we plan events and make updates to the site.

Barbara Bush PTA is a member of the Texas PTA and National PTA and a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Your membership and participation in the PTA not only supports the work done in our own organization but also helps to promote the work being done on a state and national level to ensure the well-being and education of our children.

 

The Bush PTA offers valuable programs for our faculty and students, including:

• All grade level field trip transportation
• All grade level field trip Admission
• Scholarships for teachers’ continuing education classes & paying for substitutes while they attend. (Bush is one of only a few CISD schools that affords our teachers such an opportunity.)
• Cultural Arts Programs and Reflections
• Children’s Guest Author visit
• Teacher Appreciation
• Enhancement and maintenance of school gardens and grounds
• Teddy Bear Tea
• P.E. Dept 4th Grade in-line skating
• Financial support for Grade level specials programs and year-end activities for all grade levels

This year the PTA will also sponsor and organize special events, including:

• Donuts with Dad
• Muffins with Mom
• Valentines Dance
• Storytime Theater
• Family Movie Night
• The Annual School Carnival
• and more
